Director, Pharma & Diagnostic Solutions Proposals (Hybrid)

This position is responsible for leading the Proposals function within the Pharma and Diagnostic Solutions business.  The proposals team is responsible for partnering with business development and operations staff to create proposals for new potential work to be performed by the Pharma and Diagnostic solutions team.

Responsibilities

• Build upon and manage existing proposal development processes to ensure the prompt submission of high quality, winning proposals for the business.
• Lead and manage a team of senior and junior team members creating a winning team atmosphere that drives consistent revenue growth within the business.
• Collaborate with Pharma leadership, cross-functional Quest partners, and customers to create innovative approaches to solving critical customer challenges.
• Partner with Client, BD, and operations team to create proposals to support new projects 
• Create new processes and practices to optimize and grow the business
• Able to lead solution development for potential work being contemplated including scheduling meetings with appropriate internal stakeholders and securing their approvals/disapprovals for potential work.
• May lead client governance interactions for select clients.

Qualifications

Required Work Experience:

• 12+ years of experience in laboratory, biopharma, and or diagnostic industry in a client facing operational role and/or a sales role

 

Preferred Work Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role in a contract research organization.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Office work and periodic travel

 

Knowledge:

• Highly skilled user of Microsoft Office suite and other computer-based applications.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Quantitatively inclined
• Strong/expert communications

 

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Master’s Degree MBA or Master’s Degree or Equivalent (Preferred)
