Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver – Edgerton / Kansas City, KS & MO

Terminal & Route

• Yards: Park at whichever is closest—Edgerton rail yard (30700 W 191st St) or the Kansas City terminal (9001 NE Birmingham).
• Scope: Regional intermodal hauls across KS and MO, moving partner freight through the KC Metro and Edgerton zones.
• Freight: 100% no-touch box trailers, averaging 16 loads weekly.
  

Pay & Weekly Earnings

• Yearly & Weekly: Averages $75,000 gross yearly ($1,400 weekly) plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
• Base & Drops: $0.59 to $0.69 CPM, $29 drop/hook, and $45 live load/unload.
• Extras: $30 for hazmat/reefers, $15 for chassis flips/crosstown moves, $25 for DOT inspections, $29 for refused loads, and $20–$25/hr for detention, delays, or breakdowns. Training pays $250 daily.
  

Schedule & Shifts

• Workweek: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday schedules.
• Hours: Evening rollouts kicking off after 3:00 PM for 12-hour shifts.
• Home Time: Daily resets at home (trucks stay parked at the yard during time off).
  

Requirements & Rules

• Experience: 3 months of verified Class-A driving history.
• Compliance: Hazmat required within 90 days (fully carrier-reimbursed).
• Equipment: Automatics only. No pets or passengers permitted.
