Rainmaker builds systems to increase precipitation and improve water availability. We combine atmospheric science, autonomous aircraft, radar and satellite observations, weather modeling, and novel sensing technologies.
Our software connects these systems, supports field operations, and turns each operation into data that improves the next one.
The roleRainmaker is hiring a Software Engineer to own our production infrastructure and security.
Your scope includes cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability, identity and access, secrets, vulnerability management, incident response, and recovery. You will build remote systems that work 24/7 and accommodate lost comms. Storms do not wait for business hours.
What you'll doYou will understand all of Rainmaker's critical systems, data flows, access model, and largest operational and security risks and have shipped at least one material improvement. Within your first year, critical services will be easier to deploy, observe, secure, and recover. Software capabilities should scale faster than requisite operational effort.
