We’re proud to partner with numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading TPAs. Each patient we serve creates immediate ROI: lower costs, improved access, and better care. Join us as we redefine what’s possible in specialty care.
About the Role
Leap Health is hiring a Medical Director, Clinical Partnerships to build physician relationships, guide clinical governance, and help more patients access safe, clinically appropriate specialty infusion care.
As Leap’s first dedicated physician leader for provider engagement and clinical partnerships, you’ll connect clinical evidence with the questions that matter to prescribers, patients, and partners. You’ll lead physician-to-physician conversations, help shape clinical protocols and drug strategy, and represent Leap in discussions with manufacturers, specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, and health plans.
You’ll collaborate closely with Clinical, Life Sciences, and Product teams to strengthen clinical programs, shape partnerships, and translate provider insights into better care coordination and patient access. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape a growing function and become a trusted external clinical voice for Leap.
Key Responsibilities
Provider Engagement & Clinical Consultation
Lead physician-to-physician conversations with prescribing providers to address clinical questions, discuss site-of-care suitability, and support timely, coordinated care.
Lead physician review of escalated clinical and safety concerns, partnering with Clinical Operations to provide timely guidance and clear next steps.
Engage providers when unresolved concerns have prevented patients from moving forward with Leap, identifying whether a clinically appropriate path exists.
Develop provider education and engagement approaches that build understanding of Leap’s care model, clinical standards, and patient support.
Translate recurring provider concerns and feedback into improvements in clinical programs, policies, and workflows.
Clinical Governance & Drug Strategy
Serve as physician lead for the Clinical Governance Committee, partnering with pharmacy and nursing leaders to guide evidence-based decisions.
Provide medical review and approval of clinical protocols, administration criteria, and exceptions within established governance processes.
Partner with Clinical Strategy & Affairs leadership to shape Leap’s Specialty Drug List and clinical optimization strategy, including preferred products, biosimilars, and site-of-care pathways.
Evaluate clinical evidence, treatment guidelines, and emerging therapies to inform program development and expansion.
Establish clear standards for physician review, documentation, and escalation to support consistent, timely decisions.
Clinical Partnerships & External Representation
Serve as a physician representative in discussions with manufacturers, specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, health plans, and other strategic partners.
Build relationships with physician groups, medical societies, clinical leaders, and patient advocacy organizations relevant to specialty infusion care.
Communicate Leap’s clinical approach through partner presentations, educational discussions, and other external forums.
Collaborate with Life Sciences and partnership teams to evaluate opportunities and design programs that address clinical needs, provider workflows, and patient access.
Bring external clinical perspectives and stakeholder feedback into Leap’s strategy and program development.
Cross-Functional Clinical Leadership
Partner with Clinical Strategy & Affairs and Clinical Operations to translate clinical evidence and physician insight into practical policies and care pathways.
Collaborate with Product to incorporate provider needs and clinical requirements into tools, workflows, and program design.
Advise Life Sciences, Client Success, Sales, and Marketing on clinical positioning, educational materials, and partner questions.
Support expansion into new therapeutic areas by identifying clinical requirements, evidence needs, and opportunities for specialist input.
Advise executive leadership on clinical trends and opportunities to strengthen provider trust, patient access, and program quality.
