Strategic Projects Lead (Legal)

About the Role

Join an applied AI research team that develops expert-generated training data for advanced AI systems. In this role, you will lead legal projects and client relationships, helping translate rigorous legal expertise into work that supports AI development.

What You'll Do

• Work with leading AI research organizations to deliver high-quality datasets based on expert legal reasoning.

• Own client relationships and project execution from scoping through delivery.

• Manage teams of subject-matter experts and coordinate work across legal and other professional domains.

• Collaborate with internal teams on applied AI research initiatives.

• Lead cross-functional projects and support operational priorities as an early team member.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in a law firm, in-house role, government or regulatory body, or legal technology company.

• A JD or equivalent legal qualification, with experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or advising.

• Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with sound judgment about the quality and rigor of analysis.

• Excellent communication, client management, and project ownership skills.

• An undergraduate degree from a university in the United States, Canada, or Europe; standout relevant experience may also be considered.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work five days per week on-site and put in additional hours when needed.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
