Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation

About the Role

Join a collaborative litigation team handling employment law, school law, and general civil matters. You will independently manage cases from initiation through settlement or trial, with support from paralegals and experienced colleagues.

What You'll Do

• Manage civil litigation cases from intake through resolution, including trial.

• Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third parties.

• Attend hearings, argue motions, and conduct bench and jury trials.

• Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and negotiate and execute settlements.

• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy in an in-person setting.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery.

• Experience independently managing cases through discovery and motions, with trial experience or demonstrated readiness to try cases.

• Strong legal writing and motion practice skills, including experience drafting and arguing motions through summary judgment.

• Experience taking and defending depositions.

• Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or ability to obtain membership.

• Self-directed approach and ability to own a caseload with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
