Company Description:
Raftelis partners with local governments and utilities to solve their most complex challenges. Over the last year, we've worked with more than 700 organizations across the full spectrum of management consulting, from finance and strategic planning to technology, communications, organizational assessment, and executive recruitment.
We’re proud to share that Raftelis has been certified as a Great Place to Work®! As one of our employees said, “at Raftelis, we maintain a great balance between hard work and allowing staff to focus on their lives outside of work. We also have a strong culture where people genuinely care about each other, and leadership is committed to doing what's best for both our employees and the firm”.
Job Summary:

Working within a team, the intern will be responsible for researching and assisting executive recruitment staff on multiple recruitments for public sector clients. This is an ideal position for a student who is interested in local government and utilities recruiting, human resources, or business, enjoys research, analyzing data, and is intellectually curious.
This position will be based in Raftelis’ Charlotte office. A parking pass is provided at no cost to the intern. This is not a remote position. The rate of pay is $25 per hour.

- Analyze data to determine the best utilization of job postings and direct outreach techniques
- Assist with a new database, including data validation, cleaning, and input
- Draft information to be used in recruitment materials, such as a job description with brochure
- Attend web-based client meetings and produce meeting summaries
- Maintain effective, professional attributes while dealing with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (public policy, public administration, business, human resources, psychology, or other related fields)
- Ability to research and organize data obtained from websites, phone calls, and web-based meetings
- Excellent writing skills
- Intellectual curiosity and the willingness to learn
- Diligent, enthusiastic, and team-player attitude
- Ability to work independently on specific assignments once direction is provided
- Experience using MS Office applications of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- A keen eye for details specific to client documents
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they can perform every job description task. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may come from a less traditional background. We will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.
