The Opportunity

Praxis is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Information to build and lead our AI-enabled Medical Information capability as we prepare for potential launch and future portfolio growth. This role will establish the strategy, operating model, content standards, and governance needed to deliver high-quality Medical Information at scale.

You will serve as a senior scientific expert for complex Medical Information escalations while shaping how technology and human expertise work together to support healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders. You will oversee scientific response content, ensure AI-generated responses are accurate, balanced, current, and appropriately governed, and use inquiry insights to continuously improve the Medical Information experience.

This is a high-ownership builder role for a leader who combines strong scientific judgment with operational discipline and curiosity about technology. You will work across Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and other functions to establish a scalable capability that is launch-ready, responsive to stakeholder needs, and built to evolve with the Praxis portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own Medical Information strategy and operating model: Define and evolve the Medical Information strategy, processes, service model, metrics, and technology roadmap to support launch readiness and future portfolio growth.
  • Lead complex Medical Information: Serve as the senior escalation point for complex or high-impact inquiries, providing or overseeing timely, accurate, balanced, and scientifically appropriate responses to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, specialty pharmacies, payers, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and govern scientific content: Lead development and maintenance of a rigorous, scalable Medical Information content library. Establish standards for scientific quality, consistency, currency, and audience-appropriate communication, incorporating relevant literature and emerging data.
  • Lead AI-enabled Medical Information: Shape the effective use of AI across Medical Information, providing human oversight of AI-generated responses and establishing appropriate quality, governance, and validation standards. Identify opportunities to improve response quality, knowledge bases, content coverage, and workflows through technology.
  • Turn inquiries into insight: Establish a structured approach to analyzing inquiry trends, recurring questions, and emerging information needs. Translate those insights into content improvements, educational opportunities, stakeholder insights, and enhancements to the Medical Information experience.
  • Drive cross-functional governance and launch readiness: Partner with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to establish appropriate review and governance processes, documentation, and standards. Ensure the Medical Information capability is prepared to support launch and operates effectively as products and stakeholder needs evolve.
  • Build the team and capability: Establish scalable ways of working and help develop the people, partnerships, and capabilities needed to deliver Medical Information with speed, quality, and consistency. Promote a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • PharmD, RN, or bachelor’s degree in a life-sciences discipline; PharmD strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, with substantial Medical Information experience and direct experience responding to unsolicited medical inquiries. Experience supporting launch-stage or commercial products strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build or lead Medical Information capabilities, including strategy, content development, inquiry management, governance, processes, and metrics.
  • Strong scientific judgment and demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical literature and emerging data and translate complex information into clear, accurate, balanced responses for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent medical writing and communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and governing Medical Information response content and knowledge repositories, ideally using modern inquiry management and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated interest in and practical understanding of AI-enabled Medical Information, including the judgment to distinguish where technology can improve scale and experience from where human expertise and oversight are essential.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to build trust and alignment across Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and operational teams.
  • A builder and owner who moves with urgency, brings structure to ambiguity, identifies gaps early, and continuously raises the quality and scalability of the function.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, operate effectively in a fast-moving environment, and adapt as business and portfolio needs evolve.

The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement.  You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
