We need a VP of Supply Chain/Transportation to lead the strategy and operations of Pattern’s global supply chain and transportation function across North America, EMEA, and APAC. This role owns inbound freight, outbound freight, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) shipping, and builds the cross-border supply chain capabilities that support our existing business and the new businesses we are launching. What is a day in the life of a VP of Supply Chain/Transportation?-

Oversee inbound freight, outbound freight to marketplaces, and D2C operations in every region
-
Build cross-border supply chains that do not exist today, including import and export flows, freight consolidation, and port operations
-
Manage relationships with carriers, marketplaces, and logistics partners, including Amazon, so product moves from our buildings to customers quickly and cost-effectively
-
Own transportation budgets and spend, and track cost and service performance with data
-
Partner with warehousing and inventory management leaders to keep goods moving between every Pattern location
-
Investigate problems, simplify them, and present clear recommendations to executive leadership
-
Years of experience at the Director or VP level leading transportation, as a senior leader and not only as a long-tenured practitioner
-
Strong understanding of supply chain principles and strategy, including cross-border supply chains, import and export, and consolidation
-
Experience leading global teams across multiple regions
-
A record of taking supply chain from a narrow functional focus to a broader, business-oriented role, ideally at a company where supply chain is central to the business, such as a marketplace, large retailer, or ecommerce fulfillment company
-
A results focus and a proactive, data-driven approach to solving problems
-
The ability to simplify complex issues and communicate clearly with executives
-
Inbound freight, outbound freight, and D2C run reliably in every region while strategic projects move forward
-
Transportation cost and service levels are measured by region and improve over time
-
New cross-border lanes and consolidation efforts are launched on schedule and within budget
-
Global teams are in place, clear on their goals, and performing
-
Executives get concise, specific updates and can make decisions quickly
