Employment & Commercial Litigation Attorney / Associate

Offit Kurman is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its growing practice in the Dallas area. This is an opportunity for an attorney with a strong employment litigation background to handle a diverse caseload involving both employment and commercial disputes.

The practice focuses primarily on employment litigation, with additional opportunities to handle a variety of commercial litigation matters. The attorney will represent both employers and employees in employment disputes, as well as handle a range of commercial litigation matters.

This is a full time, in-office position based in in Collins County.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing employment and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.

1. Preparing for and conducting depositions.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
3. Representing clients in hearings, court proceedings, injunction matters, and other contested proceedings.
4. Developing litigation strategies and working directly with clients.
5. Handling matters independently while collaborating with senior attorneys on more complex cases.

Qualifications:

• Approximately 5 or more years of litigation experience.

1. Experience handling depositions and taking an active role in litigation proceedings.
2. Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
3. Ability to manage cases independently and exercise sound judgment.
4. Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on litigator who enjoys managing cases, taking depositions, appearing in court, and working directly with clients. Trial experience is welcome but not required.
