This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in commercial construction, facility maintenance, or service-based contracting who enjoys the combination of estimating, project management, problem-solving, and working directly with customers.
You’ll work across a variety of trades and projects, developing scopes and estimates, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, tracking project costs and schedules, and helping ensure each project is completed successfully.
What You’ll Do
- Review work orders, customer requests, site conditions, plans, and project requirements.

- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial facility repairs, maintenance, tenant improvements, upgrades, and small construction projects.
- Develop labor and material pricing, perform takeoffs, and obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Identify scope gaps, project risks, and potential cost considerations before work begins.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and customer-facing estimates.
- Manage awarded projects from planning through completion and closeout.
- Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and equipment.
- Develop project schedules and monitor progress against timelines and budgets.
- Track job costs, labor productivity, materials, and overall project performance.
- Manage change orders, field conditions, scheduling issues, and project documentation.
- Communicate project status, schedules, budget impacts, and changes with customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with facility managers and other customer contacts.
- Ensure work meets AAA’s expectations for quality, safety, and customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-7+ years of experience in construction estimating, facility maintenance, project management, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors/hardware, general building repairs, and finish work.
- Ability to assess field conditions and develop scopes of work when complete drawings or specifications may not be available.
- Experience developing labor and material estimates, takeoffs, and project pricing.
- Understanding of labor productivity, job costing, and project profitability.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
- Experience with estimating or construction software such as Zoho, Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar.
- Experience in facility maintenance, service-based contracting, or an on-demand repair environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment
This position includes a combination of office, field, and customer-site work, with regular site visits for estimating and project oversight. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required based on project or customer needs.
