Natural Science Lab Work Study

The Lab Work Study supports faculty and staff in maintaining and preparing laboratory spaces and materials for science courses. The Lab Assistant must have excellent attention to detail, follow written and verbal instructions, and a willingness to help with whatever laboratory needs arise. Must be meticulous and thorough, while simultaneously willing to get dirty.

Responsibilities

Preparation and Maintenance:

• Prepare materials for scheduled laboratory sections in a timely manner.
• Clean and properly store equipment, instruments, and glassware.
• Maintain laboratory spaces cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain Preserved and Living Materials. 

Instructional Assistance:

• Assist faculty with tasks related to research or instruction upon request.

Other Responsibilities:

• Ensure laboratory safety through adherence to safety protocols.
• Basic office record keeping, data entry, and correspondence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Flagler College student
