Senior Software Engineer

SAIC is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program at Point Mugu, California including support equipment and simulators. 

Job Duties:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting
• End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs
• Ensures software standards are met

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Experience with Wind River VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity
• Must have C# and C++ experience
• Must have SQL database development experience
• Must have the ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; Interim clearance is required to start

Preferred Skills:

• Prefer EW, embedded systems and VxWorks experience but not mandatory
