Adjunct

Overview

Adjunct is responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of one undergraduate level course
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handouts
• Be prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data
• Support students’ learning goals by:
  • Focusing on student learning outcomes
  • Taking into account the needs and abilities of the students
  • Becoming familiar with academic and social support
  • Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences
  • Maintaining the academic integrity of the University
  • Being available to assist student in achieving their learning goals

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree preferred (or an equivalent of highest attainable degree)• Previous collegiate teaching experience

Minimum Salary

USD $3,600.00/Course
