Who You Are
You are an experienced agency analytics leader who understands that effective marketing analytics requires more than producing reports or applying sophisticated methodologies. You know how to translate complex data into clear and compelling stories and help clients understand what their results mean and what they should do next.
You bring strong experience with marketing performance analysis, client reporting, dashboarding, and measurement. You understand the differences among attributed performance, incremental impact, marketing efficiency, and progress toward broader business goals, and you can determine which questions require advanced measurement and which can be answered through thoughtful analysis.
You are comfortable interpreting and applying outputs from multi-touch attribution and other measurement solutions. You also understand how to design credible lift analyses, A/B tests, and incrementality studies, including the requirements and limitations that affect the conclusions that can be drawn.
As Director, Analytics, you will serve as an analytics lead across a portfolio of clients while helping lead the agency’s reporting and measurement practice. You are comfortable moving between client consultation, recurring reporting, hands-on analysis, quality review, process improvement, and team development. You thrive in a fast-paced agency environment where priorities can change quickly and where leaders are expected to remain close to the work.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the analytics lead across a portfolio of clients, owning recurring and ad hoc analysis, reporting, presentations, and actionable recommendations.
- Own and continuously improve the agency’s reporting ecosystem, including reporting standards, KPI definitions, dashboard requirements, quality-assurance processes, documentation, and delivery workflows.
- Ensure that reporting is accurate, scalable, visually effective, and focused on the business questions and decisions that matter most to clients.
- Combine and analyze data from multiple sources to answer client business questions, evaluate performance, uncover opportunities for optimization, and support marketing decision-making.
- Translate complex or fragmented data into clear narratives that connect findings to client objectives and recommended actions.
- Develop marketing measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to client business, growth, acquisition, and revenue-related outcomes, identifying the data collection, tracking, and tagging requirements needed to support them.
- Interpret and apply outputs from multi-touch attribution and other advanced measurement solutions, clearly communicating their appropriate uses, assumptions, and limitations.
- Design or guide lift analyses, A/B tests, incrementality studies, and other experiments that produce credible conclusions about marketing effectiveness.
- Partner with Media, Strategy, MarTech, Marketing Operations, Client Experience, and Data Platform teams to translate measurement objectives into practical data and implementation requirements.
- Support new business efforts through pitch materials, project scoping, and measurement strategies, while continuously improving practice workflows, methodologies, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate and apply AI-assisted capabilities that improve reporting, analysis, quality assurance, insight development, or workflow efficiency while maintaining appropriate human review and accountability for the final output.
- Manage and mentor junior team members through technical guidance, feedback, quality review, and support that strengthens their analytical judgment, client communication, and ability to independently own work.
- Manage multiple client priorities while maintaining high standards for accuracy, analytical rigor, and timely delivery.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, marketing effectiveness, or marketing measurement, including significant experience in a fast-paced agency, consultancy, or multi-client marketing environment.
- Healthcare marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience owning recurring client reporting and analysis across multiple accounts, campaigns, or lines of business.
- Deep understanding of the distinctions among attributed performance, incremental impact, marketing efficiency, and progress toward broader business goals, with the judgment to determine which measurement approach is appropriate.
- Advanced hands-on analytical skills, including proficiency with SQL and experience querying, combining, and analyzing complex, fragmented, or multi-source marketing data.
- Experience building and using dashboards, reporting solutions, analytical tools, spreadsheets, and AI-assisted workflows to support recurring reporting, deeper analysis, and client decision-making.
- Proven experience analyzing marketing performance data from multiple sources and translating it into clear insights, compelling narratives, and practical recommendations delivered directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and consulting skills, with the ability to make sophisticated measurement concepts understandable and useful.
- Strong understanding of marketing channels, campaign and platform data, tracking and tagging practices, conversion measurement, and how data moves from source platforms into cloud data warehouses and reporting tools.
- Proven problem-solving and consulting skills, with the versatility to move between technical execution, performance reporting, measurement design, and strategic client consultation
- Experience working with sophisticated customer-level data, attribution, experimentation, and closed-loop measurement required.
- Practical experience applying AI-assisted tools within analytics or reporting workflows, with sound judgment about validation, data privacy, limitations, and where human oversight remains necessary.
